I remember the moment I realised something was off. It was during a hectic week, juggling my kids’ schedules and client demands, when a wave of anxiety hit me out of nowhere. One minute I was fine, and the next, I was irritable, struggling to focus, and dealing with panic attacks. It felt like I was on a hormonal rollercoaster, and I had no idea why.

After having my kids, I gained 30 kg, and it was a tough journey to lose it all before turning 38. Just when I thought I was getting my health back on track, I went into perimenopause at 37. I was frustrated when my GP kept telling me I was too young to be experiencing these symptoms. Heavy periods, brain fog, heart palpitations, and sore joints became my new normal, leaving me feeling lost and overwhelmed. Thanks to perimenopause, weight started creeping back up, adding to my frustration.

With over 14 years of coaching experience, and diplomas in health science, life coaching, nutrition, and personal training, I thought I had a handle on health. But facing my own perimenopausal symptoms led me to pursue further training as a certified menopause and women’s health coach. Determined to take control, I immersed myself in understanding my hormones and how to navigate this transition. I explored nutrition and lifestyle changes that would support my body, focusing on what to eat and how to manage stress effectively.
